The D percentage design Inc. team behind sushi restaurant Kiku is preparing to open a chic new offshoot called Kiku Omakase in Shenzhen, China. The restaurant will be headed by Chef Zijian, the former executive chef of Yiwen, which was praised by Dazhongdianping during its existence.

The selling point of Kiku Omakase is the high quality food, brilliant cooking skills and great interior environment for omakase. The restaurant will be divided into three sushi bars, a main bar with 12 seats, a smaller bar with 8 seats and a bar with 8 seats in the private lounge VIP

The entire restaurant is decorated with both hinoki and micro cement elements The overall style is atmospheric, clean and minimalist. The space is used to showcase the entire process of the chef's cooking. The lines tried to draw the guests' eyes to both the chef and the ingredients. Since the designer wanted to show how the chef and the ingredients intersect in a performance, the front of the table served as the stage, and the chef, the ingredients, the cooking, and the knives were all actors. This part of the stage was designed with an entire piece of hinoki wood for decorative purposes, to elevate the chef and focus all the light. The ceiling and walls are decorated and adorned with minimalist accents, using only lines from different rooms so that the lines can speak to each other. The accents are decorated with petals of chrysanthemums.

The designer uses the space and lines to create the appropriate feast for omakase guests.
